Cornel is a ball dahlia with dark red petals. It is a perfect dahlia for bouquets and arrangements. The plant grows to 3'-4' tall and blooms are 3.5".

It is important not to plant out tubers until  after the danger of frost passes. 

Dahlias are cut and come again flowers- the more you cut - the more it blooms. They also benefit from staking because strong winds can break stems. Cornel is also an excellent tuber producer so with the proper care and storage- you will have these gems for the lifetime of your garden!
