FAQ

  • Is your farm open every day?
We are a seasonal farm providing blooms generally from April through October. We are closed to the public except for special events and when the flower stand is open. We update our social media via Facebook and Instagram when we have pop-up sales at the flower stand. We deliver locally and special occasion bouquets can be picked up on the flower stand whenever arranged. Our CSA customers visit the stand on Thursdays for flower pick up.
  • What special events occur on the farm?
Such an exciting question!!! We host two photography classes a year- thanks to a grant received from the Rehoboth Cultural council- we can bring in photographers free to the student. Great way t see the farm up close. Yoga & Blooms - TBA $15 drop in- Bloom bar separate. Dahlia Lover's Workshop- September TBA Tour our dahlia fields, learn about our growing practices and then pick your own dahlias. We host a floral designer who will then lead participants into creating their own special arrangement to take home, using flowers & foliage grown here on the farm. Holiday Container workshop. In 2023, we hope to bring more classes to our farm ! Stay tuned.
  • What is a UPICK?
You pick events are fun because I get to sit back and let YOU play farmer! You get to walk through the blooms and choose your own flowers. You are encouraged to bring your own vessel and scissors to the event. But you can also rent snips and a bucket when you arrive at the farm and you will be provided a full refund for both for their return at the end of the journey. Flowers will be priced between $1 -$3 a stem. One cutting area will include dahlias and zinnias. The other area will be a mixture of zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, strawflowers and celosia. And whatever extra seeds I may have to plant in this area!!!
  • Do you do flowers for weddings? What other special events?
In 2023, we are offering DYI (Do It Yourself) buckets full of blooms allowing the bride and her party to create their own special pieces and single cut blooms to complement the wedding. We will also offer al la Carte pieces for our small weddings (I create- you pick up) and we are offering full wedding services to local weddings only on a limited basis. We have provided flowers for the following events: bridal and baby showers, sweet 16 party, graduation party, business meetings and real estate open houses. We also provide several local businesses with a large flower arrangement each Monday during our growing season- Ask me about our special business CSA offer! Special occasion arrangements are also available on our website to celebrate milestones such as anniversaries, sympathy, birthdays and “just because” events. Those are our favorite!
  • Can I have a professional photo shoot on your farm?
Remember, we are a working farm which means we are trying to sell all our cut flowers!! So at times, you may not get the background you are looking for of luscious blooming beds that you see in magazines. We do have a lot of mature perennial beds on the property that make a beautiful background. Contact Sharon to schedule a walk-through before you book.
  • What is a CSA?
Community supported agriculture is a system that connects the producer and consumers within the food and flower system more closely by allowing the consumer to subscribe to the harvest of a certain farm. It is an alternative socioeconomic model of agriculture and food distribution that allows the producer and consumer to share the risks of farming. The model is a subcategory of civic agriculture that has an overarching goal of strengthening a sense of community through local markets. As a farmer with a seasonal crop, your CSA investment also helps me start the farm. We value our CSA customers and to say thank you- each CSA customer gets invited to a special tour and "Tasting" event on our farm. The subscriber and one guest gets to tour the farm and taste samples of some of our recipes created from edible flowers, herbs, vegetables and eggs raised on the farm. We pair each food tasting with a companion drink that complements each dish. Our way of giving back to you with the fruits of our farm.
